Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Maryland (1740–1799). Ink signature, “Wm Paca,” on an off-white 4.75 x 1.75 slip clipped from the conclusion of a manuscript letter. Affixed below an engraved portrait inlaid into a 5 x 8.75 sheet. In very good condition, with a toned fold passing through a single letter of the signature and show-through from writing to the reverse. Originally purchased from Walter R.
