Description

“Learning of Foot Locker’s and Adidas’ role at the Forum was just what the doctor ordered for me”

TLS, signed “Kareem,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Forum letterhead, February 1, 1984. Letter to a Foot Locker manager in Long Beach. In part: “In my business, being at the top takes into consideration many things; hard work, determination to succeed, a strong supporting cast and the right tools to get the job done. It is of no coincidence that my Adidas shoes have been with me every step of the way. In order to be the best, you must have the best basketball shoes since your feet play such an important part of the game. It is as simple as that. Learning of Foot Locker’s and Adidas’ role at the Forum was just what the doctor ordered for me. Now I know what store to recommend to my friends.” And a glossy 8 x 10 Lakers team photo, signed in blue felt tip, “Abdul Jabbar.” Both are double-matted in Lakers purple and gold and framed to an overall size of 23.5 x 17.5. In fine condition. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
