In part: “Your loving letter to Mrs. McKinley came today and she asked me to acknowledge it and express to you our appreciation of the tender and sympathetic words it contains. Your letter has done us both good and brought comfort to our hearts. Ida’s conduct in this great misfortune has been simply heroic.” Intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, uniform light toning, and a pencil notation to top, otherwise fine condition.
