Rare and special seat made for use in the lunar module during ground tests. The seats were installed by attaching straps on the seats to fittings on the armrests in front, and a ceiling fitting on the back. Seat consists of a welded aluminum frame with Beta cloth seat and Teflon bottom edging, and three straps. The back strap bears the label, "SYSTEMS ENGR REST SEAT." This seat would be used on the right side for the LM Pilot. (LM technical documents often refer to the LM Pilot as the Systems Engineer, and this label reflects that usage).
