Massachusetts lawyer (1731–1814) who served as one of the prosecutors of British soldiers during the Boston Massacre trial; he later signed the Declaration of Independence. DS, signed “RT Paine, Jus of Peace,” one page, 6.5 x 1.75, November 30. Paine attests that “Nathaniel Snell took the oath required.” Document has been professionally inlaid to an 8.5 x 3.5 off-white sheet.
