Canadian-born physician and researcher (1849–1919) widely hailed as the Father of Modern Medicine. Two items: signature and postscript clipped from the closing of an ALS on a 5 x 4 clipped slip. Osler writes: “Yours sincerely, W. Osler. I hope you & the little one will have a good summer.”; and a manuscript “Copy of notes” in an unknown hand, unsigned, four pages on two conjoined sheets, 4.25 x 7. Letterhead embossed “Radcliffe Infirmary & County Hospital, Oxford.” Noted at top right “Surgical Notes 1063 / 1911.” Dr. Osler has handwritten “Hemophiliac” in the upper left.
