Description

Harrison cuts a huge Apple check to the manager of Badfinger

Apple Publishing Ltd. business check, 8 x 3.5, filled out in another hand and signed by Harrison, payable to Badfinger manager W. D. Collins for £13806–26, April 22, 1971. Check is also signed on the reverse by Collins. Red ink cancellation through portion of signature, bank stamp lightly over first name of signature, two punch holes to top edge, and a small area of paper loss to top left, otherwise fine condition. An interesting example, as Harrison had stepped in to produce the band’s third album, but soon pulled out due to his Bangladesh commitments. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RRAuction COA.
