Fabulous original head-and-shoulders portrait etching of a smiling Einstein on an off-white 8 x 11.5 sheet (affixed to a slightly larger piece of heavy cardstock), signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “Herr James Davis zurn Audenken, Albert Einstein, 1933.” Also signed in fountain pen in the lower border by the artist, “Lionel S. Reiss.” Double matted and framed to an overall size of 13 x 16. In fine condition, with a mild shade of uniform toning and two trivial spots of foxing to the border. A fantastic display piece!
