Playboy Playmate–turned-actress (1960–1980) who was murdered by her estranged husband at the age of 20. Stratten’s then-lover, director Peter Bogdanovich, authored a book on her, The Killing of the Unicorn, and later married her sister. Rare color 8.25 x 12.5 Playboy nude calendar photo from 1980 of Stratton enjoying a bottle of wine, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “To Robert, Much love, Dorothy Stratton xox.” Photo’s caption reads, “A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, An indoor picnic quite unmatched, But Dorothy Stratton’s bound to say, she only comes with strings attached.” In fine condition, with some light contrast to signature, horizontal crease where calendar has been folded behind photo, and a few light creases.
