ALS, one page both sides, 4.25 x 6.75, March 6, 1903. Cleveland writes from Princeton to Richard Olney, who had served as attorney general and secretary of state in his second administration, in Boston. In part: “I beg to introduce to you Mr. John Arthur Keppelman of the Harvard Law School. I have very much enjoyed a chat with him, on a subject which has for a long time greatly interested me … and I hope you will permit me to commend him, and what he has to say, to your favorable consideration….” Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope addressed in Cleveland’s hand.
