Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1742–1798). In 1789, he became one of the original nine justices appointed by Washington to the Supreme Court. Partly printed DS, signed “Wilson,” one page, 7.75 x 6, 1773. A summons for the collection of debt in a legal case. Wilson has signed on the reverse beneath a docket in another hand. In good condition, with two vertical folds (partial separations) and scattered toning. The signature is bold, clear, and unaffected by any faults, and itself easily rates as fine.
