While in his Nuremberg prison cell awaiting his sentence of death by hanging, Göring committed suicide with a cyanide capsule. Calligraphic DS, in German, one page, 10 x 14, June 30, 1943. A certificate promoting Hans Rehder to the rank of Regierungsoberinspector as a part of the Vierjahresplan (Four-Year Plan). The document bears a large blind-embossed seal at lower left. Accompanied by an unsigned vintage typescript detailing the chronology of Rehder’s military service.
