Original “Reportrait” of Durante by artist George Haessler, comprising a stippled-ink portrait with handwritten contributions from Durante, on an off-white 13.75 x 16.75 sheet, in turn affixed to a slightly larger yellow sheet, and signed in red ink “Jimmy Durante.” Durante comments on TV, movies and night clubs, “I love them all,” making people laugh, “I’m happy when I hear people laugh,” the English language, and song writing, “Inka Dinka Do.” In fine condition, with some light glue and tape stains, and mild toning along top.
