Partially printed DS, signed “U. S. Grant,” one page, 18 x 12, April 14, 1869. An official appointment for Samuel A. Haley as Assessor of Internal Revenue in the First District of New Hampshire. In very good condition, with a touch of very subtle feathering to signature, creases (two touching name), scattered wrinkling and light soiling, and a few small spots.
