Description

On his first senatorial victory: “I am certain that we could never have been successful against the Republican sweep if it had not been for the ... enthusiasm of people like you”

TLS signed “John Kennedy,” one page, 8 x 10.25, personal House of Representatives letterhead, no date [envelope postmarked December 31, 1952]. Kennedy writes to supporter Michael Triserio. In part: “Since I have just returned from Europe, I have been delayed in telling you how much I appreciate all of your assistance during the past months of the campaign. I am certain that we could never have been successful against the Republican sweep if it had not been for the interest and enthusiasm of people like you. I am aware that you tackled one of the most difficult problems, and the success we did attain was certainly largely due to your efforts.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. One mailing fold touching signature, otherwise fine, fresh, spotless condition. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
