Orville Wright, co-inventor of the Wrights’ history-making airplane, and Brig. Gen. B. D. Foulois made the first cross-country flight together on July 30, 1908, at Fort Myers, VA. Flight Cover, 6.5 x 3.75, signed “Orville Wright” in black fountain pen and “B. D. Foulois” in blue fountain pen in the upper left corner. The postage stamp on this flight cover honors The International Civil Aeronautics Conference, December 12,13, 14, 1928, at which Wright and Foulois were guests of honor.
