TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10, personal letterhead, December 30, 1971. Letter to an admirer praising him for his interest in public service. In part, “There can be no higher calling than that of devoting one’s self to the public interest. I would suggest that you acquire a well-rounded education with emphasis on the history of this nation, biographies, political science, economics and law.” In fine condition, with light block of toning over text and mounting remnants to top edge, both from previous display.
