In part, “As I feel that is one of the days you did offer me, I will hold myself engaged to you for that evening…I will bring you three lectures 1. ‘Conduct of Life.’ 2. ‘Works & Days.’ 3. ‘Country Life.’ and we will choose what seems fittest.” Paper remnant to bottom of last page, affecting nothing and light show through from Emerson’s bold writing on reverse of pages, otherwise fine condition.
