Lot of two items: TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.75, personal letterhead, November 8, 1928. Hoover writes to Charles Brioschi. In full: “I am grateful for your message. I deeply appreciate the friendship it conveys.” Also included: color magazine photo of an elderly Hoover, 9.25 x 10.75 on a 9.75 x 12.5 mount, signed and inscribed in blue ink on the mount, “To Deanna and Susan Smith with the good wishes of Herbert Hoover.” In fine condition, with usual mailing folds and mild toning to letter, and a few subtle bends and a touch of edge wear to photo.
