The auction is led by a remarkable archive of love letters by the teenage Bob Dylan, plus some of the earliest known signed photographs of him as a high schooler—these materials project his path to stardom, outlining his dreams of changing his name, becoming a singer, and selling a million records. Another highlight of the sale comes in several original drawings by fellow shaper of '60s pop culture, Edie Sedgwick, the Warhol superstar who befriended Dylan at the Chelsea Hotel.
