Sought-after vintage 1963 glossy 6 x 8 promotional photo of the Beatles posing outdoors near a public fountain, signed on the reverse in red ink by George Harrison and Paul McCartney, and in blue ballpoint by Ringo Starr and John Lennon. The consignor notes that the signatures were obtained at the ABC Cinema in Hull, England on November 24, 1963. In very good to fine condition, with a central vertical fold, and a stain touching Lennon and McCartney's last names. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient: “I can confirm that I got The Beatles signatures at Hull’s ABC Cinema on November 24th 1963. I was an international rugby league player and played for Hull Kingston Rovers. I was asked to work as a steward on the night. I was backstage in the interval when I got the signatures.” These photographs were used as inserts in the Beatles’ 1963 Autumn tour program.
