Interesting collection of over 40 vintage photographs of notable scientists from the early and mid 20th century, ranging in size from 2 x 2 to 10.5 x 8, with particular attention given to physicists Albert Einstein, Max Born, and Niels Bohr, picturing them during meetings, conferences, award presentations, and at home with their friends and family. Of the 10 photos depicting Einstein, the majority appear to show him in Princeton, New Jersey, with his sister Maja appearing in several others. Other scientists featured in the collection include: Otto Hahn, Werner Heisenberg, Walter Heitler, Lise Meitner, Robert Andrews Millikan, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Wolfgang Pauli, Max Planck, Leon Rosenfeld, Otto Stern, John Wheeler, and more. In overall very good to fine condition, with some photos featuring small tears, adhesive remnants, and creasing; many of the photos are affixed to the original album sheets.
