Three items: a pair of limited issue FDC souvenir sheets with affixed stamps honoring her late husband, postmarked on August 24, 1945, both signed below in ink by Eleanor Roosevelt; and a TLS, one page, Val-Kill Cottage letterhead, August 15, 1953, addressed to Lionel Aucoin of Spencer, Massachusetts, in full: “I am happy to send the souvenir sheets you sent. In reply to your question, I fear world peace will not come quickly.” In overall fine condition.
