US Army officer (1887-1966) who commanded the First Army in the Western European Campaign of World War II, leading the liberation of Paris. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Hodges in uniform, signed in fountain pen, "Courtney H. Hodges, Gen. U.S. Army, Dec. 1, 1946." Reverse bears a Signal Corps credit stamp. In very good to fine condition, with a crease to the upper right corner, and a light bend to the lower right corner.
