Group of 18 original vintage glossy photos associated with Grumman's development of the Lunar Module, highlighted by a series of fifteen 4.25 x 3.25 candid behind-the-scenes shots principally taken at their Capistrano Test Site. Some of these are annotated on the reverse with the subject matter: "Capistrano Test Site, STL, Oct 18, 1964 7 PM Just Before First Run, HD-3," "Ox Tank 1 (Right), Fuel Tank 1 (Left)," and "Fuel Tank #2." The Capistrano Test Site was founded in 1963 for the development of the Apollo Lunar Module Descent Engine. The other three are 8 x 10, with two showing the Grumman staff in front of Lunar Modules and one showing a desktop model of the LEM. Also includes a Grumman booklet entitled "Lunar Module Subsystem Assembly and Instructions," and a 1967 form letter issued to Grumman personnel at Kennedy Space Center congratulating them on the success of Apollo 4. In overall very good to fine condition.
