This example boasts a particularly interesting association, as it makes reference to his membership in the Sigma Chi fraternity, whose motto is 'in hoc signo vinces' (Latin for 'in this sign you will conquer'), a legendary quote and incident of the Roman emperor Constantine. Young graduated from Georgia Tech in 1952 with a degree in aeronautical engineering, and thereafter joined the Navy.
