Archive of materials from Tony Glover's association with folk-rock artist Lucinda Williams, including seven signed cards and letters, two telephone interview cassette tape recordings from August 1989, and a glossy 10 x 8 photo of Williams and Glover performing together. Williams sends birthday and holiday wishes, apologizes for a "mood swing at the radio station," writes that she is "digging Nashville," and explains contractual matters: "Yeah, RCA owns the rights to the songs, so whoever signs me will have to pay them something in order for me to be able to use the tapes, or even record the songs over again! It's a mess!…I'm going to Australia with Mary Chapin Carpenter & Roseanne Cash. An acoustic songwriter's thing."
In her longest note, Williams writes, in part: "That's interesting stuff about Willie Murphy. You should write a book! And did you ever write a song about losing your love on New Year's Eve? Yes, of course I think it's a good idea! I haven't written anything in a while! But the last time I did, I finished 5 or 6 new songs at the same time! That's usually the way it is for me…The Rough Trade & RCA hassles are behind me now. And I'm waiting to hear of a good new offer from someone else. May be Bob Buziak's Chameleon—distributed by Elektra. He's the one who had signed me to RCA, & was the first one to leave."
