Four TLSs signed “H. G. Rickover,” each one page, 7 x 8, Atomic Energy Commission or Department of Energy letterhead, dated to 1955, 1958, 1972, and 1981. Each letter is addressed to Ken Browne and contains pleasantries and short messages of thanks; the earliest letter, February 1, 1955, in full: “Thank you for the kind thoughts expressed in your letter of January 10, 1955. Your letter is most gratifying but the credit must rightfully be shared with the conscientious men and women who have worked with me. I am sorry that I do not have a photograph available to send you.” The original mailing envelopes are stapled to the reverse of each letter. Includes an unsigned U.S. Navy photo of Rickover circa 1955. In overall fine condition.
