Group of 32 original silver gelatin photos of Dizzy Gillespie taken by noted jazz photographer Raymond Ross, most measuring 7.5 x 9.5, affixed to same-size mounts with typed captions on the front, as prepared for an exhibition. All bear Raymond Ross credit stamps on the reverse. Images date from 1965 to 1987 (but focus on the late 1960s and early 1970s), and show Gillespie performing, in studio, playing chess, alongside other jazz legends (like Bud Powell, James Moody, Max Roach, Sonny Stitt, and others), and various portraits. In overall fine condition.
