Letter to Alvero de La Torre, in part: "Thank you for your letter, and for sending me the portrait which arrived today in perfect condition. Please forgive me if I have no time just at the moment to have a photograph taken of myself with the portrait, but I will try to do this whenever time allows." Leigh adds a handwritten postscript: "I think you have been most skillful with the painting." In very good to fine condition, with two old pieces of tape on the edges, and light diagonal staining from a magnetic photo album. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
