Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender (1904-1934) who played for the Chicago Blackhawks; a few months after becoming the only NHL goaltender to captain his team to a Stanley Cup win, he died from a brain hemorrhage brought on by a tonsillar infection at the age of 29. Very rare vintage fountain pen signature, "Charlie Gardiner,” on an off-white 4.5 x 6 album page. In fine condition. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
