American silent film actor (1891-1923) referred to as 'the screen's most perfect lover'; he tragically succumbed to a morphine addiction at the age of 31. Striking vintage pearl-finish 7.75 x 9.75 photo of Reid by Melbourne Spurr, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Louis, Cordially, Wally.” Reverse bears Spurr's credit stamp. In fine condition.
