Very desirable official Confederação Brasileira de Desportos (CBD) long-sleeve shirt worn by forward Pele during a match in the 1965 season. The heavy cotton Athleta shirt, no size likely medium/large, features the CBD logo to left chest and the number “10” to back. In fine condition, with expected wear from use, which includes a few small holes. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Marcos Moura Teixeira, a former technical coordinator for the Brazilian National Soccer Team, who affirms that the shirt derives from his personal collection. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Pele almost averaged a goal per game over a career that lasted nearly two decades. In 1999, he was voted World Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), and was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the Century award. That same year, Pelé was elected Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee.
