Very early vintage glossy 3.5 x 5.5 photo of Bernstein in a handsome up-close pose, signed and inscribed in the upper and lower borders in fountain pen, "For Bob Gillespie, with best wishes, Leonard Bernstein.” In fine condition, with light silvering to the darker areas of the image. Accompanied by an original mailing envelope, postmarked July 29, 1958. An exceptionally early signed portrait of the famed composer.
