German-born conductor and composer (1876-1962). Vintage matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of Walter in a reflective pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Dear Rev. Gillespie! Thousand thanks for your moving words and warmest greetings, Bruno Walter, New York April 1944.” In very good condition, with a couple of creases, a circular postal impression touching Walter's hand, and silvering to the darker areas of the image.
