Description

Fully signed Nirvana photo from their Nevermind period

Circa 1991 satin-finish 8 x 10 DGC Records promotional photo of Nirvana posing together in a bathroom, signed in blue felt tip, "Kurt," "David," and "Krist." In fine condition, with a small bend to the lower left corner tip.

Brennan first met Nirvana in January 1992, in the lobby of NBC when they were at the Thursday music rehearsal for a “Saturday Night Live” performance. After that, he flew to Seattle six times to see Nirvana, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. He followed them before they were famous: “I just knew.” He met them a total of 8-12 times. “In just under two years, it was all over.” He followed them all of 1992 and 1993. Drummer Dave Grohl is seen wearing a “Secret Sounds” t-shirt on the album cover for “Muddy Banks of Wishkah,” which Brennan gave him. “Dave was always difficult to deal with; Kurt was the easy one.” Accompanied by a John Brennan Collection letter of provenance and full letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services. From The John Brennan In-person Autograph Collection.
