Signed vertically on the front cover—a full-page, close-up portrait of the artist—in black felt tip by Andy Warhol. In the preface, Coplans explains the purpose of this interesting volume: "The book sets out to provide the reader through the accompanying illustrations a viewing of a broad spectrum of Warhol's painting and sculpture, especially from 1960 to 1964, by which time the artist had already begun to shift his interest to movies…The essays by the various authors have been chosen to cover three principal but divergent aspects of Warhol, each of which has equally caught the public's imagination—the man, the art and the movies." In fine condition, with light handling wear.
