In fine condition, with a small block of toning to the lower right corner. On April 19, 1937, Truman gave a speech on 'the controversy over the Supreme Court,' weighing in on President Franklin D. Roosevelt's efforts to 'pack the Court.' Truman concluded that, historically, justices had not turned out to be partisan ideologues—thus, 'the Court can't be packed,' and Truman supported FDR's plan.
