One of the more popular football sets in the entire hobby, the 1972 Topps football issue is the premiere football set of the 1970s, and is highlighted by the Roger Staubach rookie card and a very difficult high number series loaded with gridiron stars. This offered set is extremely high grade, grading at 57% NM/MT or better, including five cards graded GEM MINT 10 and 25 other cards graded at MINT 9 by PSA. There is also a nice group of cards graded by BVG, with many MINT examples. The raw high numbers are exceptionally well centered, especially the popular All-Pro subset. And while there are 59 total cards graded by PSA or BVG, there are still scores of cards ready for third-party grading. There is still some meat on the bone for the high-grade dealer or collector who wishes to grade his own cards.
