Description

Pseudonym of Jean Louis Conneau (1880-1937), a French aviation pioneer, Naval Lieutenant, and Flying boat manufacturer. In 1911 he won three of the toughest aeronautical tests: the 'Paris-Rome' race, the first Circuit d'Europe, and the Daily Mail Circuit of Britain Race. Vintage matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 French postcard photo of Andre Beaumont in a handsome seated pose, signed in fountain pen. In fine condition, with faint silvering, and some skipping to the last name.
