Color glossy 13.75 x 11 photo of Nirvana seated together on wooden steps, signed in blue felt tip, "David," "Kurt," and "Krist," with Grohl scrawling "I HATE!" over the signatures. In very fine condition. An awesome fully-signed oversized photo of the legendary 90s rockers, made even more desirable by Grohl's ironic self-loathing addition, a line in keeping with grunge's lyrical backbone.
Brennan first met Nirvana in January 1992, in the lobby of NBC when they were at the Thursday music rehearsal for a “Saturday Night Live” performance. After that, he flew to Seattle six times to see Nirvana, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. He followed them before they were famous: “I just knew.” He met them a total of 8-12 times. “In just under two years, it was all over.” He followed them all of 1992 and 1993. Drummer Dave Grohl is seen wearing a “Secret Sounds” t-shirt on the album cover for “Muddy Banks of Wishkah,” which Brennan gave him. “Dave was always difficult to deal with; Kurt was the easy one.” Accompanied by full letters of authenticity from REAL and Beckett Authentication Services. From The John Brennan In-person Autograph Collection.
