Two signatures of British figures who played a role in the American Revolutionary War: an ink signature of the British general who surrendered at Yorktown, "Cornwallis," on an off-white 2.5 x 1.25 slip; and an ink signature of the establisher of the Townshend Acts that placed new taxes on the colonies, "C. Townshend," on an off-white 3 x 5.25 slip, also signed by Charles James Fox. In fine condition.
