Letter to "my dear neighbors," in full (translated): "It is very kind of you not to forget neighbor who can hardly get around any more (I have stayed in ten days without going downstairs!) It is not a very festive way of celebrating the end of the year! My morale is holding up, fortunately. Come up one day to shake hands with me?
