Fantastic assortment of four vintage photo albums containing hundreds of photographs and images from early Western films, including original stills, promo cards, and second-generation prints, as well as sundry images clipped from genre books, magazines, newspapers, and programs. The largest of the albums, 12″ x 14.5″ x 2.75″, celebrates entirely the incredible film career of John Wayne, with images portraying the ‘Duke’ as a handsome young actor in his earliest starring roles and then as the larger-than-life grizzled veteran from classic films like The Searchers and True Grit. The smallest of the albums, 10″ x 12″ x .75″, focuses exclusively on the career of dashing early Western star Buck Jones, which details his career through numerous clipped program and newspaper photos.
