Huge antique trunk prop from Old Tucson Studios used on screen in the Western-themed television series The High Chaparral (which aired on NBC from 1967-1971), measuring approximately 32″ x 22″ x 17″, with a dark brown leather exterior, marked on the cover: "Warranted Sole Leather With Steel Springs." The trunk has a faux latch on the front, and opens to reveal a storage area featuring red faux-leather covers with decorative gilt edging, comprising one large chamber and three smaller compartments with flip-forward front panels. The decorative interior lifts out of the trunk to reveal a larger storage compartment underneath. In very good to fine condition, with wear to both the exterior and interior.
