A maxim from Metchnikoff

Russian biologist and zoologist (1845-1916) best known for his pioneering research into the immune system, for which he was awarded the 1908 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Desirable AQS in French on an off-white 4 x 2.25 card, signed below in ink, "Elie Metchnikoff." In full (translated): "The conviction that the aim of human life will only be reached by a very great solidarity among men will restrain actual selfishness." In very fine condition.
