Description

Norwegian explorer, scientist, diplomat, humanitarian, and Nobel laureate (1861-1930) who led the first crossing of the Greenland interior in 1888. ALS, one page, 5 x 7.75, Delegation of Norway letterhead, no date. Letter to "Miss Ely," in full: "I am so sorry that I am not able to come to your lunch today. I sincerely hope that we will meet before it is over." In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the lower corners, and several small staple holes.
