Alexander Knox's screen-worn suit from his Oscar-nominated role as Woodrow Wilson in the 1944 20th Century-Fox biopic Wilson, consisting of the suit jacket with matching pants. The jacket features three dark buttons on the front for closure, and is lined in dark brown satin, with a Western Costume Co. tag sewn inside the right breast pocket, stamped with "No. 28870," and annotated in ink: "Name: Alex Knox, Chest: 39." The matching pants are stamped inside on the pockets in red, "Western Costume Co.," and black, "W.C.C., Suit 2 pc., G #49," with the size, "32x31." In fine condition. For his exemplary portrayal of President Wilson, Knox received the Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role; although he did not win, the film did take home five Oscars at the 1945 Academy Awards.
