In very good to fine condition, with some mailing-related creasing. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Set up by Marconi, Vatican Radio began broadcasting with the callsign HVJ on two shortwave frequencies using 10 kilowatts of power on February 12, 1931, with the pontifical message 'Omni creaturae' of Pope Pius XI.
