Offered is one of the most recognizable cards in our collective hobby, that of the T206 Ty Cobb Portrait - Red back. The great Carl Horner image is well focused and 'pops' off card. The perfectly centered red background is superbly struck, as is the well-centered reverse. Three corners appear NM/MT with one corner grading Near Mint. This card was returned as "AUTHENTIC ALTERED" by PSA, which determined 'evidence of trimming' along the bottom edge. In addition, there is a light wrinkle running from bottom edge about a half inch up the card, not affecting this brilliant image. Essentially, this is a high grade T206 Ty Cobb 'red back' baseball card which appears to be minimally EX but is encased in a PSA AUTHENTIC holder.
